The lung and winded road

Well that’s a wrap! Absolutely amazing generosity from everyone who has chipped in to support CF, just fantastic!

Over the last week the team has covered some miles, with over 500km travelled, bringing our total distance to 1746.3km, the equivalent of walking to Cameron’s corner where QLD, NSW and SA meet and a further 200km into queensland towards Birdsville!
The 10 of us have loved getting out and getting active in aid of such a worthy cause, it has been great to stride with you all.

Last week the team covered 267 km, bringing our cumulative total distance to 1237km! We have passed our goal of 100km and absolutely smashed our fundraising total and are so appreciative of everyone’s support for CF.

On our virtual tour we quenched our thirst at the Silverton Pub NSW and headed north to the remote township of Packsaddle, population 87. Another beer at the Packsaddle Roadhouse, walking is thirsty work, and we set off for another 20clicks towards the QLD border.

These two young fellas are striding to a new level today - 100km in 48hours! Good luck Kade and Danny, a great effort in support of a great cause 👏

A big week of walking, running and riding has seen the team cover 302km! Bringing our cumulative total to 967km! It has been a MASSIVE week of generosity from all our wonderful supporters! The chance to say hello to Kades chin again after many months, even years, has seen a few dollars raised with his promise to shave off his magnificent lockdown beard!

On our virtual walking tour we have reached Broken Hill, tomorrow a few cold refreshments at the silverton pub, think red dust and Mad Max

Three weeks into our challenge marks the halfway point for our team. Our Total kilometres walked, run and pedalled is now 664km! With 3 weeks to go, could everyone’s generous support spur us on to walk the equivalent distance of reaching the Queensland border…???

This week the lung and winded road got another 150km under our belts, not quite enough to walk to Lake Mungo National Park on our virtual road trip but enough to waltz through Mildura, perhaps stopping for a fancy lunch at Stefano’s before sneaking across the border into NSW, then upwards through saltbush scrubland & pulled up for the night 24km sth of Mungo. Next week a visit to the mungo man and on towards Silverton.

At the 2 week mark the team have managed another 254 km’s bringing our cumulative total to 494.8km’s!

As we are all locked down and dreaming of where our walking, running and riding might have taken us to, let’s imagine we are on a virtual road trip! Departing Tess & Danny’s in Fawkner we wandered through the wombat ranges to St Arnaud. After a quick pot at the Railway hotel, Ouyen we sauntered in to Hattah lakes for a spot of bird watching. Next week onwards and upwards to Mungo National Pk!

We are one week into our fundraising challenge and together we have collectively walked, run & cycled 240.8km. We are off and racing towards our goal of 1000km! Thanks to all the amazingly generous donations, we have already smashed our original target of $1000, thank you all so much for supporting Cystic Fibrosis Community Care and those living with CF.
